As a southerner, I've often wished for snow. And as someone who also misses Alaska dearly, I've often wished for snow.

And as someone who is back in the south, lowlands, I'm not gonna hold my breath. I'm glad you all got some moisture though.

Arder. That moves my mind in a somewhat punny, ribald direction.

I used to live north-er, by five hours drive, and it was considerably snowier than it is here, and a bit colder too. Sure don't miss the shovelling, but I miss the trees and the hills.

Do you go back to Alaska to visit?

Too expensive to get there and back. I've been gone a year and a half, and still daydream about the place. I know I don't want to live there long term, too short a growing season, but I miss just 'bout everything else about it. And the people. Very much.
