That is a very good picture!

It's snowing heavy here today, a couple of feet on the ground and maybe that much more coming.

It's welcome, the mountains certainly need it.

Hi Jim,

Yeah, we haven't really had a LOT of snow this winter, and the last few weeks were relatively warm, so there was a bit of melt. Still, fairly decent cover, and I'm always glad to see the fields white, so I know there's some wet insurance for spring. I often think of the fires you've had in your area when I look at our snow here. The fires we had last year too, for that matter. One runaway fire was only one km down the road.

The shadows caught all the frost that day,and as the sun went down I saw this cleaving happening between sun and shadow over my "garden".
