St. Robertson

There is no nonsense so gross that society will not,
at some time,
make a doctrine of it and defend it
with every weapon of communal stupidity.

Hey, Madcap, great quote. I read 'to' in the first line as 'too' ... is this right?

I am amazed, too, by the political and moral beliefs of fellow Americans ... I don't want to go into it here but I grieve sometimes over the things people don't 'see' because they are so entirely removed from compassion and community and interconnectivity. We live in an era of great disconnect, and it shows.

But, I remain hopeful that there are more and more folk with great vision who are finding ways to reach out and become politically involved.

I'm not sure if this is what you were getting at by putting this quote here, but it's the first thing I thought of :).

Typo! Thanks for catching that.

Yes, there are certainly days when the nonsense seems invincible...
